 AMS web application
A web application runs entirely from within your browser, e.g. MS Internet Explorer.
Advantages of Web Applications:
- No special configuration or changes are need on users PCs.
- Data is centralised, secure and easy to backup.
- Software is easy to change, and maintain.
- Users have access from anywhere in the world.
- A web based documentation eliminates wasteful distribution of printed materials and is always up-to-date.

 Browser
The Browser is composed of two windows: - the navigation window and the display window. The navigation window is situated on the left hand side and it displays a column
of icons. Each icon in this column corresponds to a module of the AMS system. Highlight the module you wish to view and this module will be displayed on the
right hand side of the screen.

 Employees
The Employees Module is the central and most important module in the system. It
contains a data grid which lists all of the employees in the system. The grid
shows the Employee Number, Name and the Number of Days Leave remaining for each
employee. It also displays the following details: - Start Date of Employment,
End Date of Employment, Employee Grade and Employee Department.

 Roster Plan
The Roster Plan module displays the currently logged in employee's unsubmitted and
unapproved time and expense sheets. The display area is split in two - the top
half of the screen displays the unsubmitted weeks and the bottom half displays
the unapproved weeks. There are 3 buttons at the top of the screen which you can
use to display the time and expense sheets separately or you can view them all
at the same time by clicking the "All" button.

 Timesheet Entry
Timesheet Entry displays the details for a particular week.
The hours worked for that week are displayed. To modify the timesheet, select the required day in the upper part of the screen.
Modify the hours worked or the job location.
Once satisfied with the changes, click the "Submit Week" button at the bottom of the screen.
The Timesheet is submitted and awaits approval from a head of staff.

 Expense Entry
The Expense Entry module displays the expenses for a particular week.
Using
the week selector on the right hand side, select the week you wish to
view/submit.
Once satisfied with the expense sheet click "Submit Week" and the expense
sheet is submitted and awaits approval.
