View Timesheets

The View Timesheets module should only be available to heads of security groups that have the rights to approve/reject timesheets of employees within their group. General users should not have access to this module - the modules available to users are set-up by the supervisor in the User Access module.

In this module the supervisor selects the week that he/she wishes to view - for example, the user selects Week 17 from the week selector in the top right hand corner.

View Expenses

The View Expenses module is similar to the View Timesheets module. It should only be available to the heads of security groups.

The employees within the security groups submit their expenses and the head of each group and log on and Approve/Reject these expenses.

The head of the group selects the week he/she wishes to view from the week selector in the top right and corner and below all the submitted expenses for this week will be shown. The supervisor can decide whether to Approve/Reject or Approve All/Reject All of the expense claims.

Time Clock

The Time Clock module allows an employee to Clock In/Out. The hours can be recorded in their absence list and in their timesheets- however the system must be configured in order to allow this - Setup/Time Clock. An Employee Status report can also be printed in order to see the current status of employees at a particular time in a day.

The following two examples illustrate how the Time Clock module works with the Record Absences module and the Timesheet module.

Request Absence

The Request Absence module is used by employees to submit a request for leave.
After a request for leave has been sent to the supervisor, the request is listed in the grid with a status of "Awaiting Approval". The supervisor can log into AMS under their own profile and can view any leave requests using the View Requests module and approve/reject them as he/she wishes.

View Requests

Lists requests for leave by employees.
Leave can be approved/rejected here by highlighting the appropriate record and clicking on the approve/reject button. Once leave has been approved/rejected it disappears from this list of requests and the appropriate employee's record is updated.

Absence requests can be printed by selecting the request and clicking on the print button. The list of requests can be refreshed by clicking on the refresh button. This ensures that the list is as accurate and updated as possible.
